There’s a lot more to consider when choosing a dive training program than
just price. Some questions to ask are:
What training organizations do you use?
Does the store have a proper training pool on site, let alone a pool at all?
Will we be hauling gear to someone’s house pool?
Is there a dedicated classroom?
Will we be using modern equipment?
Will you have small, personal classes?
At Black Sea Diving Center, we offer SCUBA instruction from both CMAS and NAUI, the National Association of Underwater Instructors in small, personal classes usually no more than four students per class. Keeping our classes small gives you more instructor time and skills practice with less time just waiting on others.
Have a group, large or small, looking to take dive training together? Have an odd schedule? Want private lessons? No problem. We offer regularly scheduled weekend and weekday courses and can work with you for custom schedules. Give us a call, email or come by the shop. We’ll be happy to answer your questions and show what we can do for you.

All levels of divers have improved their water skills and general knowledge through our structured training courses and by just diving with our highly trained Dive Masters and Instructors. We should also point out that all Black Sea Diving Center Dive Masters have a minimum of Open Water Instructors certification. We understand that the more informed we are as divers, the safer diver we become and the greater pleasure we’ll have while in the water.
We believe in providing our students with only the highest quality instruction and therefore have embraced the concept of “Doing It Right” for all diving environments. Each course is specifically taught as a stepping stone for the next, while designed to increase the diver’s competency underwater.
Diving is a life time sport that can be enjoyed by everyone who is willing to devote the time and energy in training and practice. Anything worth doing is worth Doing It Right.
So come on down to our little Island and let’s have some fun and remember, even the worst day of diving is better than the best day at work!
